Overview
This educational day will provide participants an opportunity to hear current topics in infection prevention and to network with other infection preventionist peers. This activity will lead to an improved consistency and competence in infection prevention and control practice.

  1. Learn best practices for Central Line care to prevent infection (Hai & Twedt)
  2. Identify one way to improve hand hygiene or PPE audits (Black-Tracey)
  3. Understand how to prevent TB exposures in healthcare (Rounds)
  4. LTC CMS Surveys - appreciate the CMS survey process (Weiland)
  5. Identify the components of a construction risk assessment (Karas & Mardaus)
  6. Discuss disease process related to a pathogen (Masannat)

Evaluation Deadline:
You must complete the evaluation sent via email following the event of course to receive credits.  You will have 30 days after receiving the evaluation link to complete the evaluation.  After 30 days you forfeit your ability to receive credit.  Learn more
