This conference is designed to provide information that participants can apply and utilize in their daily lives. Doing more with less- including less staff, less time, less cost, will be the focus on the food service session. Mental health for yourself and others will focus on providing resources and skills for use in everyday situations. Each session will provide knowledge and opportunity for personal growth and development.

1. Identify benefits of practicing self-care
2. Identify motivating factors in recruitment and retention
3. Evaluate processes used for resilience during challenging times
4. Integrate tools and resources used in response to stressful situations into their practice
5. Discuss team barriers that could impede efficiencies in food preparation
6. Develop strategies and a team approach streamline efficiencies and decrease stress

Accreditation & Credit Designation
Accreditation:

In support of improving patient care, Avera is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Designation Statement(s):

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 4.0 IPCE credits for learning and change.

Nurse: Avera designates this activity for a maximum of 4.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Facility Administrator:  Avera is an approved provider of continuing education for South Dakota through the South Dakota Board of Nursing Facility Administrators. This educational activity is approved for 4.0 hours for nursing facility administrators.
