Overview
The overall goal of the conference is to provide education to create a culture of research integrity to prevent research misconduct. Attendees and presenters will discuss how individuals and organizations can support researchers in establishing proper protocols to support transparency that results in an increased understanding of research compliance and decreased risk for research misconduct.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
Outcome: 50% of the healthcare team will self-report increased knowledge on responsible conduct of research by the end of the sessions

  1. By the end of this learning activity participants will be able to differentiate errors from deliberate noncompliance, falsification and fraud.
  2. Participants will be able to evaluate Investigator and Research Coordinator competencies
  3. Identify specific and unique ethical, regulatory and cultural aspects of conducting research with Native American Communities
  4. Recognize common elements to research misconduct cases in both administrative and legal contexts
  5. Learn about hypothetical (but realistic) scenarios in which a researcher must make a difficult decision that will help participants understand that not all situations are black and white.
  6. Select the right investigation methods and tools to identify root cause
  7. Learn about the consent process and make the informed consent document more understandable.
  8. Be able to identify the benefits of mentoring and stages of the mentoring process.
  9. Understand challenges in data integrity in medical device design and development. Learn about regulations for Data Integrity requirements by the FDA for medical devices.
  10. Learn about some of the advantages and disadvantages of decentralized clinical trials. Learn about what some of the points to consider when embarking on a decentralized clinical trial.
