Cancellations received 5 business days prior to the activity will be refunded the registration fee minus a $10 refund fee.  Cancellations must be received in writing to [email protected].  Following this date, no refund will be given; but substitutions will be accepted.    Refunds are issued in the same form as initial payment.

The 2026 Avera Cancer Institute Oncology Symposium brings together healthcare professionals across disciplines to explore the latest innovations, evidence-based practices, and real-world strategies in cancer care. Through engaging, expert-led sessions, attendees will gain practical insights into today’s most relevant topics, including emerging therapies, surgical and radiation advances, supportive care, nutrition, and end-of-life considerations. Designed for the entire healthcare team, this symposium offers an opportunity to connect, learn, and leave empowered to deliver high-quality, coordinated oncology care.

1. Define tools and resources needed to manage the oncology patient in their practice setting
2. Identify evidence-based practice changes for oncology care and the impact on their day-to-day role.
3. Recognize opportunities to apply gained knowledge in the application of patient education
4. Describe how multidisciplinary roles interconnect and collaborate to provide care to the oncology patient population.

In support of improving patient care, Avera is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Credit Designations:

	This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 6.0 IPCE credits for learning and change.
	Medicine CME:  Avera designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program.  It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
	Nurse CE: Avera designates this activity for a maximum of 6.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
	Pharmacy CE: Avera designates this activity for 6.00 ACPE contact hour(s). .  ACPE Universal Activity Number (UAN): JA0008079-0000-26-047-L01-P / JA0008079-0000-26-047-L01-T.  Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Credit will be uploaded to the NABP CPE Monitor® within 30 days after the activity completion. Per ACPE rules, Avera does not have access nor the ability to upload credits requested after the evaluation closes. It is the responsibility of the pharmacist or pharmacy technician to provide the correct information (NABP ID and DOB (MMDD)) to receive credit.
	Social Work: As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Avera is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 6.0 Clinical continuing education credit(s).
	Medical Assistant: This program has been granted prior approval by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) for 6.00 continuing education unit(s). Granting approval in no way constitutes endorsement by the AAMA of the program content or the program provider. Attendance for this activity will be submitted directly to the AAMA.
