Overview
Content addresses barriers to knowledge by defining, giving expert examples for conversations, and practical tips. Also, discussed an understanding and review of misunderstood perceptions and knowing the roles in determining a "Goals of Care" conversations or when to refer.

Objectives
  1. Recognize when to have a goals of care conversation.
  2. Recognize advance directives used during goals of care meetings.
  3. Assess the preparation needed prior to the goal conversation.
  4. Integrate examples of who should be present for the goals of care conversation.
  5. Apply the steps of a goals of care meeting starting with introduction thought making a treatment plan tailored to patient’s goals.
  6. Develop outline of documentation of Goals of Care Conversations.
