Overview
This is a 5 part series of educational content directed at helping the members of the interdisciplinary team better understand American Indian Health Care and how they can work collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team in providing care to this patient population. This session will focus on Cultural Competence in American Indian Health

Target Audience
Professions - Nurse - RN, Nurse -LPN/LVN, Nursing Facility Administrator, Physician, Social Worker

Objectives
  1. Discuss the cultural differences of the American Indians
  2. Discuss how the American Indian culture can affect their care
  3. Discuss barriers affecting American Indian care
  4. Discuss how members of the interdisciplinary can work together to serve as advocates for American Indian care
