The Department of Psychiatry Annual Fall Update is designed to bring healthcare professionals from Avera Behavioral Health together to learn with and from each other about new and emerging practices, EBP decisions and therapies, and research studies designed to improve patient care. Resident physicians and medical students are included in the event. The event is held in Lead, SD. This location allows for a presence west river once per year.

1. Develop strategies and a team approach to working with individuals with behavioral health
2. Develop strategies and a collaborative approach to provide safe and effective care.
3. Review and discuss new and emerging practices, EBP decisions and therapies, and research studies designed to improve patient care

	Medicine CME:  Avera designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
	Nurse CE: Avera designates this activity for a maximum of 8.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
