Overview
This day is dedicated to providing focused education for caregivers in relation to the increasing complexity of patient populations combined with work force changes and capacity issues. The interactive sessions throughout the day will provide opportunities for members of the interdisciplinary team to learn about recognition, treatment, and evaluation in the care of critically ill patients in various settings. It will also cover the burnout that can occur when working with critically ill patients.

Objectives
  1. Identify commonly missed or unrecognized emergencies along with symptoms among critically ill and OB patients.
  2. Review rapid assessments for cardiac emergencies and how to initiate treatments in adults.
  3. Discuss importance of immediate recognition and treatment of emergent OB patients.
  4. Demonstrate how to effectively and rapidly diagnose a potentially life-threatening cardiac event in adults.
  5. Recognize and implement treatment with appropriate therapies and treatment for adults to be air-transported to a higher level of care.
  6. Discuss how interdisciplinary collaboration can improve patient outcomes and reduce burnout.
