The statistics are staggering! 10-15% of healthcare workers in 2019 reported misuse of drugs/alcohol to cope. 31% of hospice facilities in a recent survey reported diversion activity in the past 6 months. This course provides learners with knowledge of drug diversion including risk factors, prevention and the process of investigating a suspected drug diversion event.

CME Accreditation:

Social Work
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and through the joint providership of Avera and Avel eCare. Avera Health Provider #1029 is an approved provider of continuing education by the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners.  Social Workers will receive 1.25 continuing education clock hours for participating in this course.
