  1. Discuss the last decade of medical care for geriatric patients.
  2. Discuss ageism and the effect on medical care for geriatric patients.
  3. Discuss the SD Healthy Brain Coalition and Dakota at Home and the work they are doing to help advance medical care for geriatric patients.
  4. Discuss nutrition and its roll in healthy aging.
  5. Discuss the last decade of medications commonly used in geriatric patients and what might be upcoming in the next decade.
  6. Discuss social systems in place for geriatric patients which can affect their quality of healthcare.
  7. Discuss new models of care for geriatric patients.
  8. Discuss and review case studies that illustrate common difficulties encountered by the IDT in the care of geriatric patients.
