Nurses face unique challenges in the current healthcare environment. The results of these projects can provide nurses with new insights and knowledge to improve patient care quality.

Objectives
  1. Recognize the importance of a professional achievement and clinical excellence program on nurse retention.
  2. Describe the process to implement a straight shift staffing model to improve nurse retention on an inpatient nursing unit.
  3. Discuss the shift to implement an interactive unit meeting structure to improve staff attendance and active learning.
  4. Describe interventions that positively improve nurse wellness in rural settings.
  5. Describe the implementation of a patient care technician staffing model to improve patient care on an inpatient hospital unit.
  6. Discuss the implementation of a fall prevention program that involves patient and family education in an acute care hospital.
  7. Describe the implementation of a Tiers Skills Acquisition Model on nurse retention.
  8. Discuss the impact of mHealth meditation on anxiety and stress in adults and older adults with myocardial infarction.
  9. Describe an inter-professional process to reduce Clostridioides difficile rates in a hospital setting
  10. Discuss the implementation of phlebotomy handheld printers in the ED to reduce specimen labeling errors.
  11. Describe the implementation of an evidence-based tool to assess violent patient behavior in a hospital setting
