Overview
Monthly educational sessions on ambulatory care topics that will bring ambulatory care pharmacists together throughout the Avera footprint and work towards increasing pharmacist knowledge on updated guidelines and enhance patient care. This is a recording of the live session that was designed to educate and discuss pharmacological management of COPD from an ambulatory care pharmacists perspective.

  1. Explore the pharmacological management options for COPD, including bronchodilators (short and long acting), inhaled corticosteroids, and combination therapies.
  2. Establish an appropriate medication therapy regimen for the management of COPD based on patient cases.
  3. Determine the appropriate vaccinations for a patient with COPD.
