Avera McKennan Social Services presents Agency Limelight - 12/17/2024

This series will provide opportunities for Social Workers at Avera McKennan to learn about community agencies and resources for patients. In addition, this will also provide opportunities to review eligibility criteria and discuss the referral process to gain access to these agencies and resources for patients.

1. Recognize the services provided by specific community programs.
2. Develop a comfort level with providing education regarding services provided.
3. Assess and identify eligible patient criteria that may benefit from a referral to local agencies and resources
4. Identify process for submission of appropriate referrals for services

In support of improving patient care, Avera is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Credit Designations:

SD State Board of SW: Avera Health Provider #1029 is an approved provider of continuing education by the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners. Social Workers will receive 0.50 continuing education clock hour(s) for participating in this course.
