Overview
Each case will be described in detail from beginning to end- starting with EMS, proceeding to the trauma receiving hospital, and ending with the tertiary center. After each case presentation there will be a chance for interdisciplinary discussion, recommendations, and any questions. A meeting report will be generated after each review and include the performance improvement discussion and learning points. A copy of the report will be signed by the panel of physicians, and then distributed to the trauma coordinators of each trauma center reviewed in the region.

  In support of improving patient care, Avera is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

 

Credit Designations:

  This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1.0 IPCE credits for learning and change. 
   
 

Medicine CME:  Avera designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
