Overview
Rapid sequence intubation (RSI) is an airway management technique that produces inducing immediate unresponsiveness (induction agent) and muscular relaxation (neuromuscular blocking agent) and is the fastest and most effective means of controlling the emergency airway

Target Audience

Objectives
Outcome: 100 % of participants will demonstrate knowledge of RSI by passing post-test with score of ≥ 80% by completion of the education.

  1. Familiarize: Medications Used for RSI and RSI Procedure
  2. Recognize: RSI – When and When Not to Perform
  3. Anticipate: Back-up Plan, Murphy’s Law
