Registration Fee: $90 per person

Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be given for any activity with registration fees $20 and under. Overview
The 37th Annual North Central Heart Cardiac Symposium will highlight current evidence-based concepts and technology for the evaluation, diagnosis and management of cardiovascular patients. Feature topics: Cardiac Arrhythmias, QT Intervals, Cardiac Pacing and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Discuss the Apple Heart study findings in regards to the detection of irregular heart rhythm. (Marco)
  2. Explain the potential role of innovative digital technology in predictive and preventative health care. (Marco)
  3. Assimilate the necessary skills to accurately assess the QT interval and confirm the computer-derived QTc. (Ackerman)
  4. Examine six pearls to help avoid QTc miscues. (Ackerman)
  5. Identify the QTc cut-off values that warrant further investigation. (Ackerman)
  6. Identify current indications for cardiac pacing in clinical practice. (Dandamudi)
  7. Describe newer modalities of pacing including leadless pacing, LV endocardial pacing, and His bundle pacing. (Dandamudi)
  8. Analyze the diagnosis of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. (Helder)

CME Accreditation Statement: 

Avera is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  Avera designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5.6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CNE Accreditation Statement: 

Avera Health is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.  A total of 5.6 contact hours can be received upon completion of this activity. Attendance at the entire educational activity is required to receive contact hours.

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists has approved this program for up to 4.5 Category A credits.
