Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be given for any activity with registration fees $20 and under. A refund less 10% of registration fee will be given for cancellations received in writing to [email protected] prior to 5 business days of activity. Following this date, no refunds will be given but substitutions will be accepted.


Overview
This educational day will provide participants an opportunity to hear current topics in infection prevention and to network with other infection preventionists. This activity will lead to an improved consistency and competence in infection prevention and control practice.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this activity the learner will:

  1. Analyze protocol of the UTI and C.difficile LabID definitions. (Jo Oberg and Tricia Mandery)

  3. Discuss changes to the CDC guidelines for TB and the healthcare worker. (Peggy Leslie-Smith)
  4. Identify the impact of emerging diseases to the healthcare facility. (Dr. Jawad Nazir)
  5. Set goals for their antibiotic stewardship program. (Anna Meyer)
  6. Identify opportunities for improvement related to surgical site infections. (Elizabeth Healy)
  7. Discuss the importance of vaccines to public health. (Tim Heath)
  8. Build their own risk assessments. (Judy Lamphron)
