Overview
Pharmacy Pearls for Prescribers provides up-to-date information on medications, developed by a multidisciplinary group of AMG primary care physicians and pharmacists from Avera Health and Avera Health Insurance Division. An interdisciplinary group has been working to develop educational materials to meet this need. In this series we will discuss CKD management related to: screening and monitoring of CKD, SGLT-2 Inhibitors in CKD, and ACEis and ARBs in Proteinuric CKD.

  1. Discuss screening and monitoring of CKD
  2. Identify stages and prognosis of CKD
  3. Evaluate methods to lower blood pressure in order to reduce the mortality of patients with CKD

  5. Describe how a multidisciplinary collaboration can contribute to continuous and reliable patient care
