Instructions to Receive Credit

There is no cost for this education.

This session identifies who is a high risk breast cancer patient and the recommended surveillance and screening these patient undergo.

1. Identify risk factors for breast cancer and explain the services available for individuals at elevated risk.
2. Identify ways to implement received education into the care of the oncology patient.
3. Identify how various teams work together to provide care to oncology patient population.

In support of improving patient care, Avera is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Credit Designations:

	This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 0.75 IPCE credits for learning and change.
	Medicine CME:  Avera designates this live activity for a maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program.  It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit
	Nurse: Avera designates this activity for a maximum of 0.75 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
	SD Social Work:  Avera Health Provider #1029 is an approved provider of continuing education by the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners.  Social Workers will receive 0.75 continuing education clock hours for participating in this course.
