Overview
The learner will have a better understanding on how to access care for patients in long term care and assisted living to have hospice in their home

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Describe the hospice philosophy.
  2. Describe comfort, pain & symptom control in hospice.
  3. Identify patient rights in hospice.
  4. Describe communication & documentation in hospice.
  5. Recognize death & dying process, including what is grief.

Accreditation

Avera is an Approved Provider of continuing nursing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
