Upon completion of this event, the learn will be updated about clinical documentation from the labor and delivery perspective.

Target Audience: Obstetrics/Gynecology, Family Practice Physicians, APRNs, PAs, and RNs.


Upon completion of this activity the learner will:
  1. Review the importance of how clinical documentation can affect the coding for OB/GYN cases in a labor/delivery setting.
  2. Review common medical diagnoses that need great specificity in the documentation on labor and delivery.
  3. Discuss cases where opportunity was noted between clinical documentation and diagnosis codes assigned.
