Description
Addressing common running injuries, both chronic and acute, often occurs in the outpatient health care setting. This session will focus on common running injury signs and symptoms, patient education, and resources and referrals to think about when caring for the patient with common running injuries.

  1. Recognize signs and symptoms of common running injuries.
  2. Review strategies for prevention of common running injuries.
  3. 80% of nurses can self-report a knowledge gain related to common running injuries and injury prevention strategies.

Accreditation

Avera is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. A total of 1.0 contact hours can be received upon completion of this activity.

This educational activity has been approved by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) for 1.0 hours. Course completions will be sent directly to the AAMA.
