Overview
This educational activity seeks to raise awareness about the opioid epidemic and its affect on Healthcare and law enforcement and to educate the public about its role in effecting change.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity the learner will:

  1. Discuss signs of an active opioid overdose (Hail)
  2. Discover the Prescription Drug Monitoring program and ways it would be used during an investigation (panel 1)
  3. Describe drug-related emergencies and health care encounters in the workplace (panel 2)
  4. List warning signs of child neglect (panel 3)
  5. Discover innovative treatment and prevention options in the region (panel 4)
